For the first time the thought comes to me – I wish I hadn’t crossed – and I push it away instantly, try to bury it. It’s done now… There’s no point in looking back. I can’t look back.

Reviews

The new Hunger Games . . . We loved the first two books, and spring sees the publication of the final instalment . . . With a movie trilogy in the pipeline too, you'd better get reading!
Cosmopolitan on REQUIEM
Lena Haloway's journey will have readers breathlessly turning the pages . . . A dystopian tour de force.

Amazing, unputdownable!

Fast paced and consistently poignant, this tale quickly becomes hypnotically addictive ... A thoughtful, exciting and moving story that reminds us just how important love is. Devour it, then go and give all your friends a big hug.
Heat
In the same mode as Suzanne Collins in her Hunger Games trilogy, Oliver, too, posits a feisty, physically able heroine, giving as good as she gets, in a fast-paced YA thriller: this trend is a welcome one.
Independent on Sunday on PANDEMONIUM
A very high recommendation to fans of dystopian teen fiction.

Oliver's acclaimed PANDEMONIUM, the follow-up to this year's New York Times hit Delirium, is out next month.
The Courier Mail
We're big fans of Lauren Oliver and this is the emotionally charged follow-up to last year's futuristic love story DELIRIUM. With echoes of Brave New World, we catch up with young heroine Lena as she attempts to survive in the dangerous Wilds . . . Now we just have to wait for the final episode in the trilogy.

Now, finally, PANDEMONIUM is here . . . It's a wonderfully dramatic, moving story . . . full of suspenseful and heart-wrenching twists, with an epic ending that will guarantee that readers will be desperate to pick up the third and final book, REQUIEM.

Love being thought of as a disease is such an original idea . . . There is a lot more action in this second story in the series . . . I did have a few questions in my mind after reading DELIRIUM and a couple of them were answered in the second book but with those answers came even more questions, I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Pandemonium is a gripping follow-up filled with suspenseful action and an engrossing story . . . a gripping, beautifully written, action-packed read which offers up substantial character growth, introduces us to some great new characters and provides an enticing wider glimpse of the captivating world we saw in DELIRIUM.

The minute I started PANDEMONIUM I could not put it down and although I really hate the cliff hanger at the end I can't wait to see the reactions in book 3.

Lauren Oliver's stunningly beautiful prose about a world voided of love and the consequences of lacking such an emotion continues to enthral the readers!
Amaterasu Reads
Another intriguing, great instalment to this trilogy! It's beautifully written, there are many complications, a few revelations, and a whole lot of trouble to look forward to in the next book.

Crackling with tension, Lauren Oliver's follow up to DELIRIUM is as whip smart and addictive as her dystopian debut.

PANDEMONIUM by Lauren Oliver is a book I've been dying to read for such a long time . . .There is much to love with this book. It's a lot darker in tone than DELIRIUM - Lena goes through some difficult times and emotions. There is a lot more violence and death and hard realities to be faced, but there is also the sweet beginnings of new love and the hopefulness of better things to come. This is an amazing, action-filled sequel fit to burst with emotion and surprises! I really recommend it!

I devoured this book... Pandemonium is unmistakeably amazing with such excitement and anguish that you'd be incredibly impatient to finish it off.

The sequel to DELIRIUM is epic and tragic and so much more!... Lauren Oliver knows exactly how to create a story that gets to you.

Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bestseller, DELIRIUM. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.

'I have literally just finished reading PANDEMONIUM and I am completely reeling! It's incredible!... I don't really know what to say other than wow! .. As with any book written by Oliver, PANDEMONIUM is written so beautifully!... I came close to tears at some of Oliver's descriptions, they were so beautiful! The way this lady writes leaves me in complete awe! There is a killer, killer cliffhanger, one that rivals that of DELIRIUM, and I cannot believe Oliver has done it to us again! I am absolutely dying for REQUIEM!'

Lena was a fantastic character again and I enjoyed her growth in this. She did have a level of strength in PANDEMONIUM but it felt partly like a stubborn strength and partly like a forced because of circumstances strength. In this book you definitely feel Lena becoming tougher, more resilient, not only physically but mentally and emotionally. Not only that, but she does so willing, actively, and that's something I really admired about her character... A fast-paced and well written read. I will absolutely be reading the 3rd instalment and I wish we could have it NOW.

Dystopian is very big for young adults and one of the best authors is Lauren Oliver who wrote DELIRIUM... The sequel, PANDEMONIUM, is out in March and is a genuine young adult/adult crossover, which is quite rare. She has a big following with teenagers and women in their 20s and 30s.

This book was amazing, Lauren has outdone herself... We see a completely different Lena than we did in Delirium. She grows into a much stronger person, in every way, character, mind and body. She is amazing... I can't wait to see what Requiem will hold for us.

I loved PANDEMONIUM. It was a great addition to the series, and the ending is CRUEL. Seriously, Lauren Oliver REALLY knows how to write her cliffhangers. The last word on the last page . . . Oh. My. Word. If you haven't read DELIRIUM yet, why not?! You're missing out - you should most definitely go and read it, right now. I think you'll love it. And then you'll read PANDEMONIUM and you'll love that too. So, what are you waiting for?

Oliver is a considerably better writer than the Twilight creator - an adept and occasionally courageous storyteller who can shock and awe with a well-placed twist.

I loved this book... An awesome read. I can't honestly say that I know of a second in a trilogy book which is stronger than the first book except this one. I cannot wait for the final book.

Honestly I could not wait to read this! The moment I had it in my hands I had to read it and I think I loved it even more than DELIRIUM! There is just something so beautiful and captivating about Lauren Oliver's writing - it demands my attention from the beginning and doesn't let go until I've finished.... And as for the ending? IT COMPLETELY BLEW MY MIND! Honestly, I need to read REQUIEM right now!

Lauren Oliver's writing is tight, full of wonderful metaphors and language and pulled me into Lena's world. The emotions are raw, visceral and the opening section of then when she is running in the wilds was utterly heartbreaking. I dare you not to be moved by it. Oliver has a gift for simple, beautiful images and her words are clearly carefully chosen. This is the sort of book that can be shelved in the young adult or the adult section and has a mature, but not pompous, narrative style. I recommend a book like this for people who say YA is poor writing so they can see how wrong they are . . . I absolutely adored this book and could not put it down! I highly recommend it to all YA fans and readers.

It's an action-packed adventure filled with close shaves and surprise twists and ends with a cliff-hanger that will have its fans itching for volume three... Twilight mavens will probably devour it in one sitting.
The Saturday Age
Oliver has once again blown me away with her poetic writing and stunning ability to weave a tale so full of emotion, every page breathes with life. This is a sequel that wholly lives up to its incredible predecessor and will leave you begging, wailing, banging your firsts in rage for more!

You know when you start to read a book which is a sequel, you're a little nervous that it doesn't match the first and can often be a bit of a letdown? Well, nothing could be further from that with PANDEMONIUM, which I simply could not put down! ... Like DELIRIUM it's beautifully written, conveying all the required imagery and emotion, and presenting wonderful characters to unfold a story which is simply electrifying in parts. In the final chapters I was so engrossed I was still reading at 1.30am, and once I was finished the book I was so overwhelmed I just couldn't sleep. If you don't read another book this year - you must read this, but make sure you have loads of time because you won't want to put it down.
